Jasper + ClickUp: pull requests and time tied to the task

What you can do

Know which pull request belongs to which client ticket without asking: Jasper links them from the task ID in the title.

Set up in 5 steps

Who can do this: Owners and admins connect the ClickUp workspace. Each person can add their own ClickUp token for the desktop app.

In Jasper, open Settings, then ClickUp, and click Enable ClickUp Integration to start a 14-day trial.
Click Connect ClickUp, sign in to ClickUp, tick the workspaces Jasper may use and allow access.
Open Repository Mappings. For each repository, click Configure, pick the ClickUp spaces to search, check the task ID pattern (CU-abc123 by default), leave Post review comments on tasks on and click Save Mapping.
Put CU- and the task ID in your pull request titles, for example CU-86abc123. After Jasper reviews a pull request, the task is linked and gets the summary.
For the desktop app, each person adds a ClickUp personal API token under Personal settings, then Integrations.

Permissions we ask for, and why

ClickUp sign-in has no finer-grained scopes. The person who connects picks the workspaces on ClickUp's own screen, and Jasper can then read and change what that person can in those workspaces. This is what Jasper does with that access.

Your data

ClickUp tokens and the webhook secret are stored encrypted.
Jasper keeps a copy of tasks, comments, task history and time tracked in ClickUp from the workspaces you allow, ClickUp members' names and email addresses, and a log of the webhooks it receives.
If you turn on AI task matching (off by default), the pull request title, author, repository and review verdict, and the ID, name, status, assignees, tags and first 500 characters of the description of up to 50 open tasks (you can set 10 to 200), go to Anthropic's Claude to find the matching task.
Disconnecting deletes the workspace's ClickUp sign-in tokens, the workspace list and your repository mappings. People's own ClickUp tokens stay until each person removes theirs. Copied tasks and task links stay in Jasper, and the webhooks Jasper created stay in ClickUp until you delete them there.

Limits and what is not synced

Jasper does not send time to ClickUp. A time entry can link to a task; the hours stay in Jasper.
Jasper does not change a task's status when a pull request opens or merges.
Task IDs are read from the pull request title only, not the branch name or description.
Links and summaries are made after the AI review finishes, so a pull request Jasper doesn't review isn't linked.
One ClickUp connection per Jasper workspace. Repositories map to ClickUp spaces, not lists.

Common questions

Does Jasper sync time to ClickUp?

No. You can link a time entry to a ClickUp task, but Jasper does not push hours into ClickUp's own time tracking.

How does Jasper know which task a pull request is for?

It looks for the task ID in the pull request title, using the pattern set for the repository (CU-abc123 by default). If you turn on AI task matching and there is no ID, Claude can suggest a task, and Jasper links it only when exactly one task is a confident match.

Will Jasper move tasks to "In review" or "Done"?

No. Jasper does not change task status on its own. You can change a task's status yourself from the desktop app.

Who sees ClickUp link cards in chat?

People assigned to the task, or whose own ClickUp connection can open it. Everyone else sees a plain link.

Can each person use their own ClickUp account?

Yes. Under Personal settings, then Integrations, each person adds a ClickUp personal API token. The desktop app then shows their tasks and posts their comments as them.
