What is Jasper?
Jasper is one workspace for agencies and software teams. It puts team chat with voice and video calls, mail, calendar, time tracking, leave, a wiki, staff training, uptime monitoring and AI code review for GitHub in one place, in the browser and in a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. Sign up with your email (or GitHub), create a workspace, pick what your team uses and invite them by email. For code review, also connect GitHub and choose your repositories. No config files or CI changes are needed.
Do I need GitHub?
No. GitHub is only for code review. Chat, mail, calendar, time, leave, the wiki, training and the AI assistant all work without it, and you can connect GitHub later.
Which languages are supported?
Jasper does not limit reviews to a list of languages. Anthropic's Claude reviews the code in your repository, whatever language it is written in.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free plan includes chat and calls, mail and calendar in the desktop app, the wiki, staff training, the API client and AI code review, with 250 free AI credits a month. No credit card is needed to start. Talk to us if you need more.
What counts as a "review"?
Each review of a pull request uses AI credits, more for a bigger change. Jasper reviews a pull request when it opens and again when new commits are pushed, at most once every few minutes.
Can you see my entire codebase?
Jasper reviews the changes in each pull request. To understand those changes, the review can also read other files in a copy of the repository that Jasper keeps in sync. It only has access to the repositories you choose when you install the GitHub App.
Is my code stored anywhere?
Yes, while the repository is connected. To review pull requests, Jasper keeps a synced copy of each repository you connect. That copy is deleted when you remove the repository from the Jasper GitHub App or uninstall the app. Each review sends the changes, and any other files the review reads from that copy, to Anthropic's Claude.
Can I customize the reviews?
Yes. Edit the review prompt and add your own guidelines in AGENTS.md. On team plans, set quality gates and branch protection for each repository or the whole organisation.

Yes. Use the REST API to trigger reviews and read the results from your own scripts or CI. View docs →
Which git platforms are supported?
Code review works with GitHub today. GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps are not supported yet.
What is Team Analytics?
On team plans, see pull request activity, quality scores and pass rates for each contributor, and export them to CSV. Learn more →
What are Quality Gates?
On team plans, set thresholds for critical, high and medium issues. Jasper posts a pass or fail check on each pull request. It blocks a merge only when the check is required in GitHub branch protection, which Jasper can set for you. Learn more →

On team plans, describe the branch protection rules you want in plain words, or start from a template, and Jasper applies them to GitHub. Learn more →
What can I do with ClickUp integration?
On team plans, link pull requests to ClickUp tasks, update task status as pull requests move, check pull request names, check ticket quality, find duplicate tasks and comment on tasks when pull requests are reviewed. Learn more →
Are there IDE extensions?
No. There is no VS Code extension or command-line tool. The desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux is available now.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Audit logs record team changes, settings updates, reviews and more. Filter them by person, action and date, and export them. Learn more →
