ClickUp is a task and project manager with Chat, Docs and time tracking built in. Jasper is not a task manager and does not replace it. Keep ClickUp for tasks. Add Jasper if you want team chat with calls, mail, timesheets with approvals and leave in one place, linked to your ClickUp tasks.

Where ClickUp is better
- Tasks, projects, boards, Gantt charts, sprints and goals. Jasper has none of these and links to ClickUp for them.
- Tasks, chat and docs in one tool, so a team that lives in ClickUp may not need a separate chat app.
- Guests with permission control from the Unlimited plan, so clients can work with you inside ClickUp.
- Single sign-on: Google SSO on Business, and SAML SSO with SCIM on Enterprise. Jasper has neither.
Where Jasper is better
- Chat on the free plan, with calls and huddles of up to 25 people and screen sharing in the desktop app. ClickUp Chat on Free Forever is limited, with 30 days of message history.
- Timesheets with approvals: weekly, fortnightly or monthly periods that managers approve, send back or unlock (team plans).
- Leave requests, accrual policies, balances and public holidays next to the timesheets (team plans).
- Mail in the desktop app, with send later, snooze and undo send.
- AI review of GitHub pull requests, with pull requests linked to their ClickUp tasks on team plans.
Using ClickUp and Jasper together
- Your ClickUp tasks and a ClickUp inbox appear in the Jasper desktop app, and you can create a task from there (team plans).
- Link a time entry to a ClickUp task, and the link appears in the CSV export. Jasper does not push hours into ClickUp's own time tracking.
- A pull request with the ClickUp task ID in its title is linked to the task, and the task gets Jasper's review summary as a comment (team plans). Jasper does not change the task's status.
- ClickUp task links in Jasper chat show the task's details, only to people who can open the task.

Is ClickUp Chat free?
ClickUp's pricing page lists Chat on Free Forever with a trial number of messages and 30 days of message history, and its Chat page says Chat "is free for now". Chat is included from the Unlimited plan, at $7 per user a month billed yearly or $10 monthly.
Should we use ClickUp Chat or Slack?
If your team lives in ClickUp, ClickUp Chat keeps conversation next to the tasks. Slack has a large app directory, and both have mobile apps. Jasper is a third option: chat, calls, mail, timesheets and leave in one app, linked to ClickUp tasks, but with no mobile apps. Our Slack comparison has the details.
Does Jasper replace ClickUp?
No. Jasper has no tasks, boards or sprints. It links to ClickUp for those.
Does Jasper sync time to ClickUp?
You can link a time entry to a ClickUp task. Jasper does not push hours into ClickUp's own time tracking.
