A CodeRabbit alternative for GitHub teams

CodeRabbit is the deeper, dedicated reviewer. It works on more git hosts, in the editor and from a CLI. On its free plans, pull request reviews are for public repositories only; private repositories get pull request summaries, plus reviews in the editor and CLI. Pick Jasper if your team is on GitHub and wants pull request reviews on private repositories in the same workspace as its chat and time tracking. Pick CodeRabbit for GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps, editor and CLI reviews, or Jira and Linear links.

  • Slash commands on the pull request: /jasper explain, improve, security, docs, summary and review.
  • On team plans, quality gates post a GitHub check, Jasper can push branch protection rules to GitHub, and pull requests link to ClickUp tasks.
  • The review sits in the same workspace as your team's chat, mail and timesheets.

CodeRabbit pricing

CodeRabbit renamed its plans. Its pricing page says Essentials keeps the old Pro price ($30 per developer a month, or $24 billed annually) and Team keeps the old Pro Plus price ($60, or $48 billed annually). CodeRabbit bills for "developers who create pull requests". If an admin turns it on, reviews beyond a plan's hourly limit continue at $0.25 per reviewed file. Prices are copied as CodeRabbit's own page showed them to us on 4 Oct 2026; your currency may differ.

Jasper: free to start, with chat and calls, mail in the desktop app, the wiki, staff training, the API client and AI code review with 250 free AI credits a month. Time tracking, leave, the intranet and uptime monitoring are on team plans. See pricing or talk to us.

Moving from CodeRabbit, or running both

  1. Install the Jasper GitHub App and choose the repositories you want reviewed.

  3. If you only want one reviewer on each pull request, turn off automatic reviews for that repository in one of the two tools.
  4. When you are happy, remove the CodeRabbit app from those repositories in GitHub's settings.
