Jasper vs Postman
Jasper has a Postman-compatible API client built in. Compare features, pricing, and migration steps.
In short
Jasper has a Postman-compatible API client built into the team workspace, so you skip the per-seat subscription and keep your collections, environments, and request history alongside reviews, time tracking, and team chat. Postman is still the more mature stand-alone product for advanced scripting, mock servers, and AI-powered test generation — many of those gaps are on the Jasper roadmap.

Postman
Free tier capped at 3 collaborators; team features behind paid tiers.

- · Enterprise: $49/user/mo (annual)
Migrating from Postman
Bring your existing collections and environments across in a few minutes.
- 1. In Postman, right-click any collection and choose Export. Save as Collection v2.1.
- 2. Export each environment too: Manage environments → Export.
- 3. In Jasper, open the API Client and use Import. Drag the collection JSON files in. Variables, auth, and folder structure carry over.
- 4. Repeat for environments. Active environment selection lives in the right rail.
Why choose Jasper
- No extra subscription — included with every Jasper plan.
- Real-time team sync at every tier, not gated behind a higher plan.
- Lives next to your reviews, time tracking, and team chat — one workspace, one bill.
When Postman is the better pick
- · You depend on advanced pre-request and test scripts today — Jasper's pm.* layer is on the roadmap, not shipped.
- · You need mock servers, AI-driven test generation, or the public collection gallery.
- · Your team is API-only and has no need for the rest of Jasper's workspace.
