Where Toggl is better

  • Apps for the web, desktop and phones, plus a browser extension, so people can track from anywhere. Jasper has no mobile app or browser extension.
  • Google and Outlook calendar integrations, which turn events into time entries. Jasper cannot connect customers' calendars today.
  • Labour cost and profitability reports, and fixed-fee projects, on Premium.
  • Jira and Asana integrations, and SSO, on Premium.
  • A free plan for up to 3 users.

Where Jasper is better

  • Chat, calls and mail sit next to the timer in one desktop app.
  • Leave policies with accrual, carry-over and a maximum balance are part of Jasper's team plans, and approved leave can turn into time entries. Toggl sells leave approvals, balances and policies as an add-on, Time Off Pro.
  • No tracking of apps or websites at all. The desktop app only checks whether you are idle.
  • AI code review, a wiki and staff training for the same team.
