Ticket templates help maintain consistent task descriptions across your team. Jasper validates tasks against templates and provides feedback when requirements aren't met.

Creating Templates

Configure Ticket Templates

Create and manage your ticket templates in the dedicated settings page.

Open Ticket Templates
  1. Navigate to Settings → Ticket Templates
  2. Click Create Template or import a preset (Feature, Bug, Task)
  3. Define required sections (e.g., "Acceptance Criteria", "Technical Notes")
  4. Set validation rules for fields (priority, assignee, due date)
  5. Choose enforcement level (educate, warn, block)

Template Sections

Each section can be configured as:

Preset Templates

Jasper includes preset templates for common task types:

Feature Template

  • User Story - As a [user], I want [feature] so that [benefit]
  • Acceptance Criteria - Checklist of requirements
  • Technical Notes - Implementation details
  • Design Link - Link to Figma/mockups

Bug Template

  • Description - What is the bug?
  • Steps to Reproduce - Numbered steps
  • Expected Behavior - What should happen
  • Actual Behavior - What is happening
  • Screenshot - Visual evidence

Enforcement Levels

Level Behavior
Educate Show suggestions but don't block PRs
Warn Add warning to review but allow merge
Block Fail review if template requirements not met
